Contest «Miss Oriental — 2009»
Rules

 There are 5 nominations for all participants.

1. Solo-performers amateurs (classical belly dance). Age from 14 years.

 5 participants reach the final.

2. Professional solo performers (classical belly dance). Age from 18.

5 participants reach the final.

3. Solo show belly dance. Participants can be of any age.

5 of them reach the final.

4. Show belly dance groups. Age is not limited. The contest for this nomination consists of 1 round. Elimination round is the final round. The winners will take part in the evening concert.
5. Folk (also tribal). Only groups. Participants can be of any age. The contest for this nomination also consists of 1 round. Elimination round is the final one.  The winners take part in the evening concert.

• The groups compete only in the election round. The points of each group will be calculated at once after election round and the winners will be announced. During the final round the group, which has taken 1 place, performs as a winner of a nomination. The awarding in all nominations will take place after the end of competition.

  Contest consists of 2 rounds:
        1. Elimination round
        2. Final round

  Rules of elimination round

   1. Solo performers of classical belly dance
   - The music is brought by performer. Duration – 2 till 3 minutes (Arabic song or Arabic instrumental piece).
   - Tabla solo cannot be more than 1/3 of dance.

  The following is forbidden:
   - Use of acrobatic tricks
   - Use of items (veil for entree is allowed)
   - Use of animals, reptiles, insects etc.

  2. Show belly dance. Solo
   - The music is brought by performer. Duration – 2 till 3 minutes. Use of items is allowed (using candelabrum should not light file).

  The following is forbidden:
  - Use of animals, reptiles, insects etc.
  - Use of sharp and dangerous items, petards, crackers, open fire etc.

    - The group should consist of not less than 3 performers!

    -  Additional items can be used. Candelabrum light can be fired only in final round.

  - Use of sharp and dangerous items, petards, crackers, open fire etc.

  1. Folk (Tribal). Groups

    - The group should consist of not less than 3 performers!
   -  The music is brought by performer (Arabian folk instrumental piece or a song of any style-Saidi, Khaleegy, Alexandria, Nubia, Tunisia, Morocco, Hagala , Ghawazee etc.)
   -  Use of items is allowed: veil, assaya, melaya, sagats, tabla etc.

  The following is forbidden:
  - Use of animals, reptiles, insects etc.
  - Use of sharp and dangerous items
  - Use of petards, crackers, open fire etc.

  1. Classical belly dance. Solo performers (amateurs and professionals).

   - Veil can be used

  The following is forbidden
  - Use of acrobatic tricks
  - Use of animals, reptiles, insects etc.

  2. Show belly dance. Solo performers

   - The music is brought by performer. Duration – 3 till 5 minutes
   - Use of items, candelabrums etc. is allowed

  The following is forbidden
  - Use of animals, reptiles, insects etc.
  - Use of explosive items

The fee for participation in this competition as a solo-dancer is LVL 10.00, as a member of a group is LVL 5.00 (per each person). Tickets for the competition final round can be purchased in Bilesu Serviss ticket office. The price is LVL 10.00.
